RIVCHPP Equips Officers With Tech Gadgets: Calls For Judicious Use Of Devices

The Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), Dr. Vetty Agala has presented tech devices to the agency's Claims Management Officers to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in claims management.

While presenting the devices, in the agency's office in Port Hacourt, on Monday 14th September, 2026, Dr. Agala charged the officers to use the gadgets judiciously and responsibly to enhance their operations and support a more efficient and transparent claims management system.

The Executive Secretary emphasised the importance of leveraging the devices to improve service delivery, promote accountability, and ensure effective management of claims for the benefit of RIVCHPP enrollees.

Appreciating the Executive Secretary of RIVCHPP, Dr. Vetty Agala, for her proactive approach, Pharm. Bona Vopnu, head of Standards and Quality Assurance of RIVCHPP, promised the proper usage of the items by the officers, and he also said that the provision of the devices will help to make their work less cumbersome and error free.

It would be recalled that RIVCHPP, as a health insurance agency has the mandate of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS to ensure that all Rivers residents have easy access to healthcare services when they need it without breaking the banks, is fully digitalised with a 24/7 call centre to promptly attend to the needs of its enrollees, is continually evolving by the day.
