The Executive Secretary of RIVCHPP, Dr. Vetty Agala, has outlined a comprehensive multi-level advocacy strategy aimed at securing sustainable funding for health interventions across Rivers State.
Speaking at a policy dialogue session, Dr. Agala emphasized that sustainable health financing requires engagement at multiple levels of government and with various stakeholders including development partners, private sector organizations, and community leaders.
The multi-level advocacy approach involves working with local government councils, state ministries, federal health agencies, and international organizations to create a robust funding framework that ensures continuity of health programmes.
Dr. Agala noted that this approach has already yielded positive results, with increased awareness and commitment from various stakeholders towards supporting RIVCHPP's mandate of providing quality healthcare to all Rivers State residents.
The advocacy strategy also includes community-level engagement to increase enrollment and awareness of available health insurance plans.
